About
This blog is my outlet for the thoughts, observations and rants about culture, the media, the Web and politics that I don’t publish elsewhere. By day I am Interactive Director for Live Earth. I moonlight as News Editor for LAist, and I advise companies and individuals on content/editorial strategies as well as strategic partnerships/relationships and new marketing.
I’m a connector and consultant in the social media and new marketing space with a decade of experience in corporate and non-profit website management and production. I am committed to community, quality, integrity, data portability, and user experience.
I have a Master’s Degree in Online Journalism from the USC Annenberg School for Communication.
I’m a native Chicagoan (Highland Park-born and raised) and life-long Cubs fan (next year is here) with a predilection for live music and good restaurants, great bourbon, and fine wine. I enjoy traveling in my free time and have spent time on six continents. I currently reside in Los Angeles’ Echo Park neighborhood.
I created WOOZradio as an Internet radio station in 1999 and continue updating the playlist regularly so I (and you) can treat your ears to the best new music wherever, whenever. Please have a listen and feel free to suggest new music.
